Résumé:
The syzygies of a variety are the algebraic equations amongst their defining equations and they often encode surprising geometric information. For example, Ein and Lazarsfeld recently proved the long-standing conjecture that the gonality of a curve can be read off the syzygies of an embedding of high degree. In this talk we would like to present an extension of their results to higher dimensions.
