Résumé:

Conformal field theory yields very large families of automorphic forms for the mapping class groups

of curves of arbitrary genus. These functions can be calculated as solutions of Gauss_Manin systems of

ordinary differential equations in several variables. The generalization of the Rogers-Ramanujan functions

to hyperelliptc curves of arbitrary genus will be discussed.
