Résumé:

In this talk, I will start with the definition of infinite divisibility and somes basic properties of infinite divisible (ID) laws. Then I will introduce the concepts of free stable laws and their Voiculescu transforms.

Then comes the question: are free stable laws infinite divisible?  I will answer this question and give a proof of one of these results. I will end with an open question. This is a joint work with Thomas Simon and Takahiro Hasebe.

There are several open questions therein, if you are interested, see https://arxiv.org/pdf/1805.01133.pdf
